Writing a technical documentation? Instead of saying what you put in, we use this space to tell you what not to do. Treat it as a cautionary guide the way and learn from the mistakes of those who came before you. Here are five things Marketing Writing you should avoid when writing a technical documentation:

No plan. Technical documentation that little planning was awful to read. Each part reads inconsistently, to attack the issue from a different Project Management angle each time. Use a formal style guide to follow, a set of standards and hold them.

All text. Regular articles without images often prove difficult to read. Do as a technical documentation without them, they are almost impossible to understand. Use both product photos and explanatory images generously.

Microsoft Word. Word is a decent word processor. It's not the software, but you want along with a technical document. It will crash on you - expect it to write to.

Learning like you. When writing to the intricacies of a product, you need to know what you want from the start. If you have the article, how did you learn to write, it's a good chance, the first part of your work are largely inaccurate. Save yourself the trouble back by knowledgeable before you begin.

Technical Writing Software. If you do this professionally, there is absolutely no excuse for ditching the necessary tools to do your job. Invest in a technical writing software immediately and produce the best materials.
